Nathan Killam (CAN)
Coming out of high school, 6 years ago, Nathan weighed in at 185lbs. Within 3 months he had ballooned up to just over 200lbs, and after being sick constantly from no exercise and living off a diet of fast food and processed junk, he decided enough's enough. He started to run 2-3 times a week, 20min at a time, on a treadmill at the gym, and cut out all fast food. 2 years later he tried racing the Vancouver Sun Run as fast as he could, and went pretty quick. He started doing more 10k's, trying to lower his time. 3 years ago, he finished his first triathlon, and was completely hooked. Nathan hired a coach and never looked back. Constant improvements in his results, including 2009 Canadian National Amateur Championship and 2009 BC Provincial Championship wins, as well as many age group wins, put the idea to turn pro in his head. This summer he started to race Elite.
Nathan has come a long way in the last 3 seasons, with a lot of sacrifices and hard days. With his determination, complete and utter stubbornness to succeed, and help from his professional coach Bjoern Ossenbrink and the rest of Lifesport Coaching crew, he hopes to take his racing to the next level and to achieve his goals.
LifeSport member since 2010.
