Smith Earns Silver at World Championships, Hat trick for Tisseyre, first at 70.3 Calgary!

Bermuda age group athlete and LifeSporter Karen Smith added another impressive piece to her triathlon resume over the weekend by finishing second at the ITU World Long Distance Championships in Spain.  Smith, who competed in the 40-44 age group, also placed as the 4th overall amateur across all of the age groups.  Congrats Karen!

Following wins at both Mooseman and Mt . Tremblant 70.3s, Magali Tisseyre used a strong splits in each of the swim bike and run disciplines to secure another top step of the podium in Calgary last weekend. LifeSport Pros were well represented in the race with Lisa Mensink 5th, in her first race following serious injury at the San Diego ITU World Cup, Haley Cooper-Scott 7th and Heather Leiggi 10th.

Age Group performances of note: Coach Mark Shorter won his category, Paul Barton ran to third in his; both, headed to Vegas!
