| Great Results for LifeSport Athletes at the University of BC Triathlon |

LifeSport athletes dominate in the U.B.C. Duathlon and Triathlon.
The U.B.C. Duathlon/Triathlon, Vancouver's first multi-sport event of 2012 was held today under sunny skies with cloudy periods. The weather report for the day was rather ominous with everything from cloudy periods to thundershowers and cool temperatures predicted. Athletes were, instead greeted with cloudy skies, sunny periods and a high of 8 degrees C. A number of LifeSport athletes participated in their first Duathlon or Triathlon.
- Tamsin Reno was first woman, 8th overall and 1st in the women's 30-34 age category of the Duathlon
- Kimberly Appleton won the women's 35-39 age category in the sprint Triathlon in a time of 1:25:17
- Craig Dale placed 4th overall and won the men's 25-29 age category in his first Duathlon in a time of 1:20:43
- Peter Roberts placed 3rd in the 35-39 age category in a time of 1:30:18
- Gregg Ambrosi placed 7th overall and was 1st in the men's 40-44 age category in 2:17:14
- Rob Armstrong of Creston, B.C. placed 4th overall and won the men's 45-49 age category in 2:14:42
- LifeSport Coach, Mark Shorter took 2nd place in the men's 55-59 age category and 11th overall in the Duathlon in a time of 1:29:59
- LifeSport Coach, Stephanie Ossenbrink was the first female and placed 10th overall in a time of 2:20:25
- The LifeSport team of Renee Smith-Valade, Beverli Barnes and Deb Nielsen placed 2nd in the women's relay division of the Duathlon
- In the Olympic distance triathlon Elliot Holtham placed 2nd overall and 1st in the 25-29 age category with a time of 2:02:57
